Canoo to make military vehicles with the US Army
Electric Vehicle maker Canoo has added another notch under its manufacturing belt. We recently reported on the brand partnering with NASA. They supplied vehicles for their space launch program where their Lifestyle Vehicles were used to bring astronauts and their crew from the barracks to the rockets.
It seems the company is on a roll and now, the United States Army has come a-knocking. The EV company is excited to show the army how customizable their EVs are in certain situations and environments. They plan to develop more applications with the said partnership and look forward to adding more technologies to the vehicle. Right now, Canoo is set to provide the army with just one vehicle for now but has no plans yet of entering the battlefield with it.
They also recently released 4,500 vehicles to Walmart as part of another deal. Walmart will be primarily using the Lifestyle Delivery Vehicle to deliver online orders with an additional 5,500 more to follow. Walmart has seen the potential in the company and it wants it to only supply them and not their competitor Amazon.
Since reporting on the company, we are amazed at the progress Canoo has had in the last couple of months. Their one-of-a-kind vehicle can be diversified to fill in certain customer needs and can still have a good impact on the environment.
With more partnerships on the horizon for Canoo, we're sure the brand will continue to make waves in the electric vehicle industry and solidify itself more in the market.
