It's not often a distributor resort to crowdsourcing when it comes to the next model they will bring in. But for the Autohub group, things are a little different. Willy Tee Ten, president, and CEO of the Autohub Group wants your help in deciding what models they should bring in soon.
But before we dig deeper into that, what is the Autohub Group? The Autohub Group is mainly a dealer principal that comprises several automotive brands. These include Ford, Nissan, Hyundai, Mazda, Foton, Ssangyong, MG, Geely, Chery, and Dongfeng. They are also the official distributors of Pagani, Rolls-Royce, Lotus, Mini, and Shelby. Autohub also brings in the GT-R and 370Z on behalf of Nissan Philippines.
With a list like that, you can tell that Autohub specializes in niche vehicles. As for the next models to bring in, Tee Ten posted a poll on his Facebook page. So, what are the options? The Autohub CEO proposed several models that might catch your fancy. These include the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the new-look Nissan Patrol, the Ford F-150 Raptor, the upcoming Nissan 400Z, the all-new Ford Explorer, and the Ford Bronco.
Scrolling through the comments, it seems that the Bronco is in the lead, but there is also a strong clamor for the F-150 Raptor. What makes this poll interesting is one of Tee Ten's comments saying, “Bronco added on the list!”. So, does this mean Autohub is now in the process of bringing the rugged SUV to the country? We sure hope so.
At the very least, Autohub is giving it serious consideration. Fingers crossed we get an allotment for the Bronco. As it is, it's tough getting in line for the re-born Bronco given the long reservation list in the U.S alone. If this pushes through, it will be interesting if they offer both the three-door and five-door models.
Another model that's raking in a lot of votes is the 400Z. Given that Autohub already brings in the NISMO 370Z, they could do the same for the next-gen model. That said, it's interesting how they're sourcing it given that the production model is yet to be revealed. But once Tee Ten has the go signal, we can't wait for it to land here. Besides, we wouldn't say no to another sports car in the Philippines.
