Davaoeños can now expect to get improved service at the new Isuzu dealership

In a bid to serve Davaoeños better and more efficiently, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) together with dealer partner Southern Motors of Davao Inc (SMDI), reopened the new and improved Isuzu Davao.

Now featuring the Isuzu Outlet Standard (IOS), the upgraded Davao dealership is not only bigger but also gets improved facilities to provide a better customer experience, smoother business operations, and deliver top-notch quality service to every customer.

Present during the inauguration of the new and improved Isuzu Davao were key members from IPC and SMDI. These included IPC president Noboru Murakami, IPC Division Head for Sales Robert Carlos, SMDI president Jockson T. Liu, former president and GM of SMDI Frank T. Liu Jr.

The event was also graced by former Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Davao City Vice Mayor Jay Melchor Quitain. On several occassions, Duterte has stated that he is an Isuzu fan and has been seen using a D-Max to go around the city.

The new Isuzu Davao project initially started back in 2018 and consisted of three phases. The first phase saw the construction of a new two-story building in the back area near the workshop. The building houses two paint booths, a battery repair area, technician locker rooms, an electrical area, and several new service facilities.

The second phase, meanwhile, saw the construction of a temporary office building. Last but not least is the third phase which saw the building of a new showroom that comes with the new IOS design. Not only that, but the showroom itself is now capable of displaying a total of 5 vehicles. There’s also a new dedicated space for accessories and a customer lounge area that can accommodate 16 individuals.

To provide customers with quality parts and service, the service area is now larger and features a 4,000-square-meter stockyard. The upgraded Isuzu Davao also comes with a new dealership management system for faster processing of parts orders. And speaking of parts, the dealership now comes with a massive warehouse to ensure customers that are in need of spares will be provided with the necessary replacement.

SMDI is no stranger when it comes to selling cars. SMDI has been operating since 1949 and used to sell cars from General Motors (GM). It was only in 1991 that SMDI became an exclusive authorized Isuzu dealer. Since then, Isuzu Davao has become one of the automotive landmarks in the city and has proven it can serve generations of customers.

“Our family dedication and business resilience, accompanied by our core values and commitment to provide quality customer service at all times is our driving force for a better future for our businesses, employees, and our customers,” said Jockson T. Liu.
