Caloocan-Espana section of NLEX Connector opening today
5-km segment runs from NLEX Harbor Link Caloocan to Espana in Manila

Another alternative route is opening for motorists going from NLEX to SLEX and vice versa.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to inaugurate the 5-km section of the NLEX Connector road today, March 27.
This section has four lanes, beginning from NLEX Segment 10 in C3 Road, Caloocan City to the Espana Interchange in Manila. The entry and exit ramps at the Espana exit are placed alongside the PNR railway crossing on Florentino Street which runs parallel to Espana Boulevard.

DPWH and NLEX have delivered on opening the section just before Holy Week as they've previously announced. The NLEX Connector road is expected to help decongest traffic in Metro Manila areas such as Caloocan, Manila, Malabon, and Navotas, especially for the incoming peak holiday traffic season.
Furthermore, the opening of the NLEX Connector segment brings another seamless access from NLEX to SLEX closer, as the remaining 3 km segment from Manila to PUP Sta. Mesa is also nearing the end of its construction phase.
But for now, motorists can take the Espana exit of the NLEX connector to reach A.H. Lacson Avenue and Nagtahan bridge faster to reach the entry point to Skyway Stage 3.
