Chery Auto Philippines maintains strong momentum with all-new Tiggo 8 Pro
Chery Auto Philippines is riding the strong momentum it started in the second quarter as it sets yet another record in its month-to-month sales figures last June.
Chery distributor United Asia Automotive Group Inc (UAAGI) has reported a sizable 140% increase in its total vehicle sales in June compared to the previous month of May. It was the highest monthly sales performance for the brand in the Philippine market since it began operations in late 2019.
“We are thrilled by the continuous growth and popularity of the Chery brand in the challenging business climate. It’s a testament to the consumers’ awareness and acceptance of the solid value for money proposition that our Chery vehicles offer,” said Erroll Dueñas, president of UAAGI and Chery Auto Philippines.
Chery says the record sales figure were amplified by better brand awareness thanks to marketing initiatives, as well as the launch of the official mother club in June to build a community of all Tiggo owners in the country. Also contributing was the debut of the all-new Tiggo 8 Pro.
“It’s not common that a flagship model becomes the bestseller for an automotive brand, but such was the compelling attraction of the tech-heavy and feature-laden Tiggo 8 PRO, which is available with a class-leading 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline direct-injection (Turbo GDI) engine or as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV)—they offer all the space, comfort, technology, luxury, and safety equipment of the prestigious German SUVs, but at a much more attainable price point,” added Dueñas.
Chery said that the demand for Chery Tiggo 8 Pro surpassed the initial target by a whopping 233%. Other sales achievers from the brand were the Tiggo 2 Pro, whose sales figures exceeded targets by a strong 140%, and the Tiggo 7 Pro, which surpassed targets by 109%.
