Confirmed: Nissan Z NISMO MT launches next year
Catch an early glimpse of the Z NISMO MT at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon

Remember when a Nissan executive shared that the Z NISMO will get a manual option in the future? Well, Nissan will be arriving at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon next year and will be displaying several vehicles for the public to see.
One of those is a new variant of the Z NISMO, which ditches the automatic gearbox for a proper manual transmission. That's right, the Z NISMO will soon be available with a manual gearbox. The decision to release a manual version of the high-performance twin-turbo V6 was made in pursuit of excitement and performance.

Its official name will be the Nissan Z NISMO MT and will have an optional 6-speed manual gearbox available. The exact specifications were not revealed, although most likely it will generate the same 420 PS and 520 Nm of torque from the 3.0L twin-turbo V6.
It will also likely have the 19-inch forged aluminum wheels from RAYS, a taller and wider rear spoiler, the signature “G Nose” at the front, and a NISMO-tuned suspension.

The Nissan NISMO Z MT is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in summer 2026, which means it might be a while before it's offered in other markets. Hopefully, the Philippines is included in that list since enthusiasts have been begging Nissan to make a Z NISMO with a manual transmission.
In the meantime, check out our review of the Nissan Z NISMO here.
