EDSA Busway rehab from Roxas Blvd to Orense is complete
Remaining sections of EDSA to be rehabilitated from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM daily

The Department of Public Works & Highways (DPWH) kept its promise of finishing the first phase of the EDSA Rehabilitation after the agency completed repair works along a significant portion of the busy thoroughfare.
The DPWH recently announced that operations of the EDSA Busway, as well as traffic flow of private vehicles along EDSA Roxas Boulevard to EDSA Orense (and vice versa), have returned to normal. This was made possible after the agency conducted rehabilitation works along the said portion for 24 hours from December 24, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

The rehabilitation works saw the inner lanes of EDSA being repaired and now come with a thicker layer of asphalt. While the rehabilitation works did cause some traffic for Metro Manila motorists during the holidays, the repair works have resulted in smoother and better traffic flow for the foreseeable future.
As for the remaining sections of EDSA that need to be rehabilitated, the DPWH said that starting today, January 5, 2026, the other portions of the roadway will only be repaired from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM daily.

With the DPWH looking to finish the EDSA Rehab project in just 8 months, the agency has its work cut out for them. Hopefully, the rehabilitation works will only cause minor inconveniences to motorists.
