GWM Philippines, together with GWM Cagayan de Oro, brought together more than 50 GWM owners for Great Wall Meets CDO recently at Amaya View Resort in Cagayan de Oro City.

The gathering brought together GWM owners from across Northern Mindanao, representing various models from the GWM lineup, including the Cannon 4x4 Pick-up, Haval H9 4x4 7-seater SUV, and Haval H7 Hi4 PHEV SUV, and soon-to-be owners, giving them an opportunity to experience the community and connect with fellow GWM owners.

Throughout the gathering, owners had the opportunity to connect with one another, share their experiences, and exchange stories about their vehicles and journeys with GWM. The event created a space for owners to interact beyond their day-to-day drives, while giving the GWM Philippines team the opportunity to meet customers personally and hear their experiences firsthand.

The event also featured a closer look at the GWM Haval H7 PHEV, allowing attendees to learn more about the model and experience its features up close. Beyond the vehicles themselves, Great Wall Meets CDO highlighted the growing community of GWM owners who continue to share a common interest in exploring new experiences with their vehicles.

Held in Cagayan de Oro, the gathering marked the first Great Wall Meets event conducted by GWM Philippines outside Metro Manila. The initiative reflects the brand’s efforts to strengthen its relationship with customers and engage more closely with its growing owner community across different parts of the country.

“Cagayan de Oro was a natural choice for us to bring our first Great Wall Meets outside Metro Manila. It is home to one of our strongest GWM communities, with customers who have shown tremendous enthusiasm and support for the brand. More importantly, Mindanao offers such a diverse driving environment, from city roads to mountain routes, provincial highways, and more challenging terrain, making it a fitting place to celebrate what our GWM vehicles are capable of,” said Dax Avenido, Brand Head of GWM Philippines.

“More than showcasing our vehicles, however, Great Wall Meets is really about saying thank you to our customers. We want them to know that we value their trust, their experiences, and the stories they share with us. Seeing more than 50 owners come together in Cagayan de Oro reinforces that GWM is gradually building something bigger than a product following—we are growing a community of owners who share a passion for their vehicles and the experiences that come with them. We are grateful to the Northern Mindanao community for being part of that journey, and we look forward to bringing Great Wall Meets to more parts of the country and meeting even more members of the growing GWM family.”

The gathering also provided an avenue for owners to interact directly with the GWM Philippines team and share their feedback and experiences. For GWM Philippines, these conversations are an important part of understanding its customers and creating experiences that extend beyond the point of purchase.

As GWM Philippines continues to expand its presence across the country, the brand remains committed to creating more opportunities for its customers to connect, share their experiences, and be part of the GWM community. Great Wall Meets will continue to make its way to other parts of the country, bringing more GWM owners together along the way.
