Low-riding Mitsubishi Triton is ready for the urban jungle
Aside from modding the Outlander PHEV and Delica D:5, Mitsubishi also customized the Triton

If you thought Mitsubishi would only be showcasing modified versions of the Outlander PHEV and Delica D:5, the brand has plenty more surprises.
Also set to make their debut at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon are two customized Mitsubishi Triton pickups - each one built for a specific purpose.
First up is a tricked-out Triton that was made for the urban jungle. This low-riding Triton (which belongs to a brand ambassador based in Japan), gets a lowered suspension, large alloy wheels wrapped in low-profile tires, custom fender flares, and side steps. The Triton also comes with a unique body kit, a rear sports bar, a front spoiler, and extra body graphics that make it stand out from the rest.

Next up is a customized Triton that’s ready to party. Made possible via a partnership with Red Bull Japan Co., this particular Triton has been transformed into a sound stage for dance events and other activities. Fitted with a DJ booth on its bed, this Triton pickup is ready to become the life of the party. It’s also fitted with a front bull bar, large alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, and large fender flares for extra eye candy.

Last but not least is the AXCR 2024 Triton Rally Car which competed at last year's rally race. Built to meet the FIA’s T1 group specifications (modified cross-country), the pickup's off-road capability has been improved by giving it a wider track and changing the rear suspension from a leaf spring to a four-link rigid system with coil springs. The result is a more balanced pickup truck that can still handle the rough stuff while also delivering better handling over any terrain.

Also set to make their presence felt at the Mitsubishi booth in this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon are the AXCR 2024 Delica Mini and Delica D:5 support vehicles. Both cars have been modified to take on the unforgiving terrain while serving as support vehicles for the AXCR 2024 Triton rally car.

If you’re going to be at this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon, make sure to visit the Mitsubishi booth and see what the brand will display at the Makuhari Messe convention center.
