LTO bans actor Nino Muhlach from driving for two years
Nino Muhlach's road crash in Antipolo results in a 2-year driver's license revocation
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has formally revoked the driver’s license of actor Nino Muhlach following a road crash in Antipolo City on August 23.
LTO Chief Markus Lacanilao said the agency will impose the appropriate penalties based on the findings of its investigation and hearing, regardless of the status of those involved.

“Seryoso ang LTO sa pagpapatupad ng batas-trapiko, lalo na sa mga paglabag na maaaring magdulot ng panganib sa ibang gumagamit ng kalsada. Ipatutupad natin ang kaukulang kaparusahan batay sa resulta ng imbestigasyon at pagdinig, anuman ang katayuan ng sangkot,” Lacanilao said.
(The LTO takes the enforcement of traffic laws seriously, especially violations that may put other road users at risk. We will impose the appropriate penalties based on the results of the investigation and hearing, regardless of the status of those involved.)
According to the LTO’s investigation, Muhlach experienced severe fatigue before losing control of the vehicle he was driving. The vehicle subsequently crashed into three establishments.
The agency found Muhlach liable for Reckless Driving and declared him an Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle. These findings served as the basis for the two-year revocation of his driver’s license.
The vehicle involved in the incident also remains under alarm status, preventing transactions involving it while the resolution remains in effect.
