LTO extends registration of "7" plates for typhoon-affected areas
July registration extended until August 15 for typhoon Egay-affected areas
Good news to motorists living in Regions 1 - 3, as well as those in the Cordillera Administrative Region who were recently affected by Typhoon Egay.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced the extension of registration validity for vehicles that are due in the month of July. Under Memorandum Circular No. 2023-2416, the motor vehicle (MV) registration of certain vehicles.
According to LTO, this is to “to give way to those who were affected by typhoon Egay that brought destruction to Northern Luzon, vehicles with plate numbers that end with ‘7’ – which will be expiring this July 2023, are hereby given an extension until August 15, 2023, without incurring penalties for Regions I, II, III, and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).”
Again, vehicle registration that is due for the month of July is given until August 15, 2023, by the LTO for Regions 1-3 and CAR only. Please contact LTO through their official social media pages and channels for more info.
