Xpander Cross special edition sells for PHP 1.382M
Mitsubishi Motors is celebrating its 60th anniversary in the Philippines. And to commemorate the occasion, the Japanese manufacturer has rolled off a special edition model for its 7-seater MPV.
Making its public debut at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show is the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross – MMPC 60th Anniversary Edition. Featuring cosmetic enhancements to its exterior, the MPV/SUV is fitted with unique Mitsubishi Motors genuine accessories.
For starters, the special edition Xpander Cross gets an additional tailgate garnish, mud guards, rear bumper protector and a tailgate spoiler to further boost the 7-seater's appeal. The rest of the exterior has been retained along with the 17-inch alloy wheels.
Mitsubishi also carried over the cabin of the standard Xpander Cross to the special edition model. This means, it also gets the 8-inch digital instrument panel and the four-spoke steering wheel derived from the Montero Sport. Infotainment comes in the form of a 7-inch touchscreen that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other features include digital air conditioning, leather wrapped seats, plus a rear cargo under-floor organizer, rear USB charging ports (Type-A and Type-C), a rear center armrest with integrated cupholders, and a rear under-seat tray below the front passenger seat.
Powering the special edition Xpander Cross is the 4A91, the 1.5-liter, four-cylinder MIVEC engine that puts out 104.5 PS at 6000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. Together with the standard Xpander and Xpander Cross, the special edition model has a 4-speed automatic gearbox that drives the front wheels.
It likewise gets the same amount of safety features as that of the standard Xpander Cross, meaning it has anti-lock brakes, active stability & traction control, active yaw control. hill-start assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a reverse camera, an electronic parking brake, and cruise control.
The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross – MMPC 60th Anniversary Edition can be yours for PHP 1,382,000, some PHP 54,000 more than the standard Xpander Cross. In addition to the cosmetic enhancements, MMPC is also throwing in several freebies such as a foldable container box, foldable stool, key fob case, reversible tote bag, and special tumblers. The special edition Xpander Cross also comes with a free 60th-anniversary decal.
Mitsubishi has the Xpander Cross – MMPC 60th Anniversary Edition on display along with the Boxtype, Pajero Field Master, and the AXCR-winning Strada at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show, which will run from April 13 to 16, 2023.
