Mitsubishi PH gives closer look at 7-seater SUV concept for PIMS 2024
Mitsubishi Motors PH shares the silhouette of the new 7-seater SUV concept that will debut at PIMS 2024

Early this week, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines got us all excited about the upcoming 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) for a very good reason.
For the first time, they are holding the world premiere of a 7-seater SUV concept that will be a very important global model for Mitsubishi, but especially in the Philippine market.

Since then, a lot of comments and opinions online have been split about this mystery vehicle from Mitsubishi – some label the 7-seater SUV concept as a bigger 7-seat version of the XForce, while some, including us, believe it’s going to be a preview of the next-generation Pajero Sport / Montero Sport that’s based on the all-new Triton.
Now, MMPC has given us something more to think about – they have shared another teaser photo on social media. But this time, they have shared the silhouette of the side profile of the 7-seater SUV concept.

If we take a look at the headlights and taillights, the 7-seater SUV concept does have the design cues of the all-new XForce. The T-shaped lighting units are becoming more of a staple Mitsubishi design these days, which began when the brand updated the Xpander MPV.
However, as far as the overhangs, the ground clearance, and the big wheels on the 7-seater SUV concept are concerned, it does have the makings of being the next-generation Pajero Sport / Montero Sport. If we recall, the Montero Sport test mule spotted months earlier was seen wearing what looks to be a set of 20-inch wheels, which would really fill in the wheel gaps very nicely on the 7-seater SUV concept.
As for the size, it looks like the new Montero Sport won’t grow too much in terms of length. But since it shares its platform with the Triton, expect the new model to be much wider. Just take a look at this side-by-side comparison between the older Montero Sport with the 7-seater SUV concept to see for yourself:

What do you think? Would it be the rumoured 7-seater Xforce? Or is this the new Montero Sport / Pajero Sport? Let us know in the comments.
