MMDA announces suspension of number coding on Nov 30, 2022
We have some good news for motorists that wish to drive around Metro Manila on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. In celebration of Bonifacio Day, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that there will be no number coding on that day.
You read that right, the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) will be suspended this coming Wednesday. That means all vehicles with plate numbers ending in 5 and 6 will be able to go around the metro freely without fear of violating the number coding scheme between the hours of 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the morning and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the evening.
The City of Makati has yet to announce if it will be suspending its own version of number coding. But given that November 30 is a national holiday, we can expect Makati to post a similar announcement regarding the suspension of number coding.
If you have holiday shopping plans on November 30, 2022, motorists will be glad that they don't have to think about getting flagged down by the MMDA for violating the number coding scheme.
