2023 Peugeot 3008 and 5008 gets more features in latest update
Peugeot is updating their 3008 and 5008 with new trim models for international markets. With the rise in demand for crossover SUVs, the French automaker is upping the appeal of two of its most popular vehicles.
There will be new styling changes and interior upgrades for both the 2023 Peugeot 3008 and 5008. There will also be more options for the powertrain as some will come with plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technology while the other gas and diesel engines also receive a new automatic gearbox for improved fuel economy.
Both the 3008 and 5008 will receive the EAT8 8-speed automatic in the 1.2-liter PureTech 130 and 1.5-liter BlueHDi turbocharged powertrains. They will also come out with a Hybrid 225 e-EAT8 to satisfy growing customer demand.
Certain models will also get the “Aluminum Pack” which features aluminum front door sills and pedals, 18-inch “Detroit” Storm Gray diamond-cut alloy wheels (3008 models only) and aluminum roof rails. These will also have dark tinted rear windows and rear side windows. Aside from the Alumium pack, the roof will be upgraded to have a contrasting “Black Diamond” finish for added styling.
Inside, the crossovers will be available with a new 10-inch touchscreen with connected navigation & voice recognition. There will also be the new self-mitral leather effect trim with “Colyn” and “Mint Green” stitching, a driver’s seat manual lumbar support adjustment, frameless rearview mirror, and an advanced emergency braking system with video and radar assistance.
These upgrades are being seen mostly in Europe... for now. The Philippine market mostly acquires units from the assembly plant in Malaysia, so it may take quite a bit of time for such variants with upgraded features to be available in local showrooms.
