Puffed Daddy: This Mercedes G-Class is ready for winter
Mercedes-Benz and Moncler collaborate to create Project Mondo G for London Fashion Week

Apparently, vehicles morphing into wardrobe pieces are becoming a trend these days. Recently, Nissan collaborated with New Balance to create the sneaker-inspired Kicks 327 Edition. Now it's time for Mercedes-Benz with the iconic G-Wagen
No, they didn't turn the classic 4x4 into a sneaker. But instead, the German manufacturer has tied up with French clothing brand Moncler for Project Mondo G.

Essentially, Project Mondo G is an art piece that merges the signature design features of the G-Wagen with Moncler's puffer jackets, made exclusively for the “Art of Genius” show at the London Fashion Week.

The life-sized show car retained the G-Wagen's pick-up body style, but the puffer jacket theme made its way to the wheels, the bed cover, and even sports a huge zipper as an eye-catching element. According to Moncler, the zipper is a practical reference to the versatility and variability of both their puffer jackets and the G-Wagen.

Unlike the Kicks 327 Edition, the Project Mondo G is merely a showpiece that won't be able to run on the road. But nevertheless, it opens up doors for car manufacturers and clothing brands alike to further imagine possibilities for future collaborations.
