Someone turned the Land Cruiser 300 into a cabrio
LC300 owner chops of the top and creates a good looking safari-ready SUV

So you own a Toyota Land Cruiser 300 but want the wind blowing through your hair? Normally you would just open the sunroof right? Well, we happen to chance upon a particular model from user lc300.qa on Instagram, and it seems he had fun with this little side project.

As we all know, our brothers and sisters in the UAE, love their outdoor adventures. The Toyota LC300 has always been known as a champ on the dunes or safari. Its off-road credentials and durability are legendary. So when we saw the SUV with the top off and turn it into a safari-focused vehicle, we know it had to be shared.

Protective metal braces in the form of roll cages replace the roof, pillars, side windows, and the back window. A tent provides a make-shift roof to protect passengers from the sun while a bull bar with headlight and taillight protectors helps keep wild animals at bay.

With the recent global chip shortage, some of Toyota’s vehicles, including the LC300, have been adversely affected. Orders for the famed SUV are currently on hold as the automaker can’t cope with the current demand.
For customers who already placed their orders, they might have to wait a little longer for their units to arrive. Seeing stuff like these online can help make the wait a bit bearable for customers and put a smile on any LC fan’s face.
