SPIED: Porsche Cayman EV spotted at the Nurburgring
Based on what our spies took, the Porsche Cayman could get a Taycan-like exterior

It's no secret that Porsche is busy developing the next-generation Boxster and Cayman. But unlike past generations that were only available with internal combustion (ICE), the all-new models will be available as electric vehicles (EVs).
Initially, Porsche said that it would discontinue making the ICE versions of the Cayman and Boxster for the next generation. However, Porsche changed its mind and said it will continue making ICE models of the all-new Boxster and Cayman. But that doesn't mean the Stuttgart-based automaker has stopped developing the EV versions.

Just recently, our spy photographers managed to take pictures of the all-new Cayman EV being driven at the Nurburgring. Based on what our spies were able to capture, the Cayman EV will have some resemblance to the Taycan thanks to the distinct headlight design and silhouette. It also comes with aero louvers that appear to have been inspired by the 911 GTS.

Some parts of the Cayman EV are still covered, but it's quite clear it will have a new set of LED taillights, more muscular fenders, and what appears to be a new rear bumper. The sleek aerodynamics, combined with the large intakes, appear to be deliberate to help keep the Cayman EV's powertrain at optimal temperatures.

Official figures about the Cayman EV's output have yet to be revealed. However, rumors have been going around that the base models could produce up to 400 PS. Meanwhile, more powerful versions of the Cayman EV could generate around 600 PS or more. As far as range is concerned, the electric Cayman could have a range between 480 km and up to 520 km.

With Porsche busy testing the all-electric Cayman, we're curious if they can replicate the success of the Taycan in the Boxster/Cayman models in the future.
