TRB: SLEX toll fee increase has been implemented
SLEX has started collecting higher toll fees since last Monday August 19

If you’re looking to spend the upcoming long weekend travelling to South Luzon, prepare to shell out a few more extra bucks in loading up your RFIDs.
The Toll Regulatory Board has announced that South Luzon Expressway’s operators SMC Infrastructure has started collecting higher toll fees. The higher toll rates have taken effect last Monday, August 19.
This is part of the 2nd tranche of toll rate adjustments as the 1st tranche was implemented back in November last year.
If you haven’t gone through SLEX yet this week, motorists travelling from Alabang to Calamba will have to pay an additional PHP 10.00 for Class 1, PHP 20.00 for Class 2, and PHP 30.00 for Class 3. For reference, Class 1 vehicles are now being charged PHP 116 from Alabang to Calamba, and vice versa. For those who came from Skyway in Buendia going to Calamba, Class 1 vehicles are now being charged PHP 280.
Meanwhile, for those travelling from Calamba to Sto. Tomas, Batangas, they will have to pay an additional PHP 2.00, PHP 6.00, PHP 8.00 for Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3, respectively. From PHP 29, Class 1 vehicles are now being charged PHP 31 in this area.
Of note, the toll rate hikes only apply for SLEX so expect to pay the same toll fees upon reaching STAR Tollway in Batangas, as well as Skyway Stage 3 and NAIAX.
