Diesel down PHP 4.15, kerosene PHP 4.45 in latest price advisory
Beginning tomorrow, September 20, motorists buying diesel can look forward to getting more fuel for less money on their next top-up.
Oil companies are set to implement a PHP 4.15 per liter rollback on the price of diesel, while kerosene is getting a PHP 4.45 price cut per liter. Meanwhile, gasoline vehicle users can be somewhat relieved as the price of gas will stay the same for this week.
Shell has already given an advisory regarding the price movements, so expect their stations to reflect the adjustments by 6:00 AM tomorrow. CleanFuel, on the other hand, is making its adjustments by 12:01 AM. Other oil players have yet to give announcements but expect them to follow the same changes in terms of pricing.
Including last week's rollback, the Department of Energy's (DOE) data shows since the start of the year, gasoline, diesel, and kerosene prices have gone up by PHP 19.10, PHP 31.75, and PHP 36.10 per liter, respectively.
Fuel prices are already far from the almost PHP 100 per liter we saw in the earlier months. But needless to say, motorists (including us) want more rollbacks for the rest of the year.
