Fuel stations to impose big-time price cuts July 12
Second consecutive price rollback scheduled for Tuesday, July 12

It's official.
Oil players are set to impose another round of price cuts on fuel products tomorrow, July 12. Diesel prices will drop by PHP 6.10 per liter, while gasoline and kerosene prices will be slashed by PHP 5.70 and PHP 6.10 per liter, respectively.

Expect these price adjustments to be followed by most fuel stations in the country as they make their announcements later in the day. Some may adjust their prices as early as 12:01 AM tomorrow, but other companies such as Shell and Petro Gazz have already given advisories that their new fuel prices will be in effect by 6:00 AM.

Tomorrow's fuel price movements will almost undo the previous four consecutive weeks of increase for gasoline. However, despite a net decrease of PHP 9.10 per liter for diesel, the price cut for tomorrow is still not enough to offset the PHP 15.60 per liter increase it had in the previous rounds of the consecutive price increases. Not to mention, there's still a long way to go in terms of going back to pre-2022 levels of fuel prices. But despite that, the rollback will still be welcome news for our motorists.
